Herbal Iron Syrup

This herbal blend can be taken to support a healthy menses, especially if you tend towards heavy or long periods.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 tbsp Yellow Dock root
  • 2 tbsp Dandelion root
  • 1 tbsp Rosehips

Method
 

  1. Add dried herbs to 1 quart of water.
  2. Simmer partly covered for 2 hours, or until liquid has been reduced to about 1 cup.
  3. Add 1/4 cup honey. You can also use molasses (an extra source of iron).
  4. Keep refrigerated. Take 1-3 tbsp daily or just throughout menses if needed.
