I’ve got a super easy DIY herbal skincare recipe for you! It contains just 3 ingredients: aloe vera, glycerin, and rose water.
Aloe vera is one of Nature’s greatest skin herbs. As a humectant, it’s inner gel supports skin hydration and healing by sealing in moisture. Glycerin adds to the humectant properties of this serum.
Rose water is a gentle, slightly astringent, skin-tonifying herbal flower water that smells amazing! 🌹 You can use any herbal hydrosol you’d like though. I like using chamomile and yarrow for their medicinal skin-healing properties.
Here’s the recipe:
– Fill 1 oz glass spray bottle with aloe vera gel (find a thin gel or use aloe vera juice – avoid aloe vera gel with added thickeners or lots of preservatives)
– Add 1/2-1 tsp glycerin
– Top off the bottle with rose water
– Shake well and spray on face. Use before applying your moisturizer, as humectant will draw in more moisture. Also great as a facial mist to set makeup or refresh your skin throughout the day.
