Are you a fan of golden milk? What about gelatin gummies? (Like these blueberry coconut gummies I posted about a couple months ago!)
If so, you’re going to love my new spin on turmeric-rich golden milk…by making it into jellies!
As a warming plant with an affinity for the liver, turmeric is a wonderful herb for acne and skin conditions related to deficient liver function and chronic inflammation. Turmeric also stimulates bile output from the gallbladder and promotes healthy fat digestion, which is important for estrogen metabolism and skin health.
Based on the plant’s energetics, I find turmeric most beneficial for people who tend to run cold and may experience symptoms of inefficient liver function, like low blood sugar and allergies.
The gelatin in these gummies helps restore intestinal lining integrity in cases of gut hyperpermeability (a.k.a. “leaky gut”), which is commonly associated with acne and post-birth control symptoms. You can also get gelatin from bone broth, but I think these homemade jellies are a more fun and tastier way to support gut health!
